Season’s greetings from Quito

Happy Holidays, dear readers!

I hope you all can take some rest, let go of your research, and recharge your batteries. I’ll be heading home to Belgium to spend a week with my friends and family over Christmas, and then celebrate New Year’s Eve in Ecuador.

The regular posts will resume on January 6th.

I’m happy to see how PhD Talk has been growing steadily over the past year. I had grand plans to revamp this entire blog in 2014, but that didn’t happen. I just enjoy writing much more than playing with all the bells and chimes of the layout possibilities.

2015 will be my second year of work at USFQ, and my research projects here started to pick up some speed. I hope I’ll find a little more routine in my teaching, and more time for research, and funding for conference travel.
