Proposal checklists
When it comes to preparing proposals, I have got my fair share of experience in these years – I guess it comes with the territory.
And, since I am on the topic of Eva’s Obsession with Checklists, I am here to tell you about my proposal checklists.
For the proposals I write, I make a checklist of all input I am going to need from all partners, and I use this information to provide follow-up (aka chase people around). I make also a list of everything that needs to be done to get all the information in the technical description, annexes etc, and a planning to go with that.
Then, I put a check-in time slot in my agenda, and will use that time to send reminders to every consortium partner individually to follow up with the information I need from them. I realize full well that I am a Pain to all, but at least, in this way I get everything I need, on time – and ultimately, that’s what the entire consortium needs to get to a successful submission.
So, bugging I shall, and with a checklist as my ultimate weapon.
How do you manage getting a proposal to submission?
