Evaluation Of My Summer 2026 Goals

Evaluation of my summer 2026 goals

As always at the end of the semester, I check in on my goals. Here’s how I did:

  • Submit 3 journal papers: yes, I still manage to move my writing forward although more of it is supervision and collaboration
  • EU project next (and last) deliverable: working on it!
  • progress on new research project: yes, first meetings are done and first deliverables are in progress
  • start of postdoc: yes indeed
  • policy documents for USFQ: I’ve moved various documents forward but none are fully ready yet
  • apply for Swiss funding: submitted and fingers crossed!
  • max my powerlifts and then do some weeks of maintenance: I stalled my deadlift at 132.5 kg and did not get to a squat and bench max
  • write and submit to poetry competitions: yes, and got a few things published even
  • get more sleep: a bit more, I guess
  • take a coursera course: #fail
  • summer holidays with my family: I stayed longer in Europe with my daughter
  • enjoy my time in the Netherlands with my daughter: we had a great time together
