A poetry publication

I’m delighted to share that five of my poems have been published in The Optimist! This milestone didn’t happen overnight; it’s the result of intentionally honing my craft over time.

I’ve been writing and revising poetry consistently, submitting my work to various places, learning from rejections, and incorporating feedback where I could. The same happened with The Optimist: my poems went through a few rounds of editorial feedback. Each step helped me see my writing with fresh eyes.

What made this publication especially rewarding was the collaboration that followed. Once the poems were accepted, two visual artists who illustrated them and I’m delighted with the final result (and it was a great surprise when the publication revealed the illustrations).

For anyone trying to publish their creative work: keep sending your work out, keep learning, and don’t shy away from revision. It’s all part of the process.
