Yvette Williams, whom you may remember from this post on improving weaknesses within your dissertation is hosting a virtual writing retreat for PhD candidates. The information is below:
This virtual writing retreat is open to all Ph.D. Candidates who are in the process of writing their dissertations. This includes students who have had their dissertation proposals accepted and have sufficient research completed and/or data collected to proceed with writing. Attendees who fully participate in the 3-day retreat can expect the following activities:1) design individualized 3-month summer writing plans which includes an assessment of the tasks, resources, and supplies needed as well as measurable goals; 2) receive a daily accountability assignment from the Facilitator; and 3)constructive feedback from the Facilitator and peer participants regarding writing goals.
The retreat,”Virtual Writing Retreat for Ph.D. Candidates” will take place on Zoom on June 24, 25, and 26. Registration is available at Eventbrite. Partial payment waivers are available for individuals who are facing financial hardships due to COVID19 and who would like to attend either the two or three-day event.
