How I spent my time in 2022
In comparison to 2020 and 2021, I have spent less time working in 2022. It’s been a constant battle against my tendency to overwork, but things have improved a bit. There is still overwork, but at least I’m going in the right direction. I’ve logged 2160 hours in 2022 when I did my end-of-year analysis, and still had a few days to go. In total, I logged 2188 hours in 2022.
2022 has been heavier on the teaching side of things again, as I’ve been teaching a MEng course and am preparing material for the MSc.
My time has been spent mostly on:
- Teaching: 16.56%
- service: 13.15%
- Papers: 10.56%
- PhD project 1: 7.93%
- ACI Avances: 7.29%
- Blog: 7.16%
- teaching TU: 6.55%
- admin: 4.82%
- Conferences: 3.28%
- PhD project 2: 2.85%
- planning: 2.75%
- Research: 2.71%
- PhD project 3: 1.99%
And a slew of other projects that each took less than 40 hours of my time.
