A Current Day In The Life

A current day in the life

Every now and then, I like doing a day-in-the-life post. Here’s what my days look like at the moment:

  • 5:40 – 6:00 Wake up and get ready to go to the gym
  • 6:00 – 6:20 Drive to gym
  • 6:20 – 7:30 Gym, and if possible, a short meditation at the end
  • 7:30 – 8:00 Shower and walk to my office
  • 8:00 – 11:00 Meetings, typically virtual meetings with colleagues in Europe
  • 11:00 – 12:00 Work on tasks. Monday, Wednesday, Friday I work on admin, teaching preparation and service tasks. On Tuesday and Thursday I focus on research and writing
  • 12:00 – 13:00 Lunch break. I often work through my lunch break though.
  • 13:00 – 14:30 Teaching on Monday and Wednesday. Tuesdays and Thursdays I focus on research tasks. Friday we usually have meetings.
  • 14:30 – 15:30 Office hours or meetings
  • 15:30 – 17:15 Finish tasks, work on emails. On Thursday I have to leave at 15:20 to pick up my daughter, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I have to leave at 17:15.
