My goals for Summer 2025

As always at the beginning of a new semester, I have outlined my goals for the upcoming semester. I will be dividing my time between Ecuador and the Netherlands, and of course, will take my summer holidays.

Here’s what I will be focusing on:

• Submit 4 papers
• Draft 3 EU proposals
• Motivate my PhD students who are close to finalizing their thesis
• Work on next deliverables of EU project
• Start part 2 of the fire safety project
• Finalize and bill one of my load testing projects
• Meet with funding body and see continuation of projects
• Strengthen collaborations in Europe
• Plan my next summer

So, there is a balance between research, writing, proposals, networking and practical aspects in there. I am looking forward to spending time in Europe with my daughter, which is always a highlight of the year.
