Expanding research collaborations
I was thinking recently about how I want to expand the impact of my research, and I identified that my focus lies on (and yes, I got this list from the MSCA Staff Exchanges call):
- international expansion
- interdisciplinary expansion
- inter-sectoral expansion
To increase my collaborations internationally, I am:
- applying to new sources of funding, which typically involves new types of consortium compositions and partners,
- traveling more,
- identifying case studies and applications more broadly.
To increase the interdisciplinary of my collaborations, I am:
- reaching out to colleagues from different fields in my university, to tackle problems together,
- participating in interdisciplinary projects,
- reading more broadly.
To get more inter-sectoral collaborations, I focus on:
- developing new connections with the industry,
- reaching out to other asset owners,
- listening more broadly to society’s needs.
