Expanding Research Collaborations

Expanding research collaborations

I was thinking recently about how I want to expand the impact of my research, and I identified that my focus lies on (and yes, I got this list from the MSCA Staff Exchanges call):

  • international expansion
  • interdisciplinary expansion
  • inter-sectoral expansion

To increase my collaborations internationally, I am:

  • applying to new sources of funding, which typically involves new types of consortium compositions and partners,
  • traveling more,
  • identifying case studies and applications more broadly.

To increase the interdisciplinary of my collaborations, I am:

  • reaching out to colleagues from different fields in my university, to tackle problems together,
  • participating in interdisciplinary projects,
  • reading more broadly.

To get more inter-sectoral collaborations, I focus on:

  • developing new connections with the industry,
  • reaching out to other asset owners,
  • listening more broadly to society’s needs.
