How I Spent My Time In Summer 2025

How I spent my time in Summer 2025

Summer 2025 has been rather intense. Whereas I usually feel like I get a bit of breathing room during my summer research stay, this year has been super busy.

As in the past periods, my main focus is on writing proposals. I do not have a single project approved for 2026, so my hours are not covered and I have no travel budget. My projects and funding has been smooth sailing since my PhD days – and it is the first time that I have this difficulty in securing funding. Not fun.

Here’s the breakdown of how I spent my time:

  • Research – 14.36%
  • Papers – 10.65%
