My goals for Fall 2023

At the start of every semester, I outline my goal for the upcoming semester.

Without much fanfare, here are my goals for the Fall 2023 semester:

• Submit 4 papers
• Have the first draft of the thesis of one of my PhD students
• Submission of the thesis of my other PhD student
• Teach a new graduate class
• Receive a secondment for EU project
• Experiments in Ecuador
• Submit a proposal for funding with colleagues in Switzerland
• Career document that I will explain later
• measurement report of the skewed slab tests
• report of the fire project

Lots of reports, lots of teaching, lots of meetings – that’s what my semester will look like!
